General Science's domestic and Thailand semi-steel tire second-phase projects were successfully put into production, enhancing market competitiveness and profitability, marking a significant step in global market expansion.
On June 28th, General Science reached another significant milestone in its development journey: The domestic second-phase semi-steel tire project and the second-phase project in Thailand were successfully put into production at the Wuxi base in Jiangsu Province and the Thailand base respectively. Leaders including Cheng Jinyuan, General Manager of General Science, Gu Yahong, General Manager of the Overseas Company, Wang Zhongjiang, General Manager of the Thailand Company, and Wang Zhongwei, Deputy General Manager of the Domestic Semi-steel Production Center, attended the commissioning ceremony and jointly witnessed this exciting and important moment.
The commissioning of these two major projects is an important strategic move by General Science in actively responding to the development trend of the global tire industry, accelerating the release of advantageous production capacity and deeply laying out the global market. In recent years, the global demand for tires has continued to grow, and General Science's semi-steel tire business has witnessed booming production and sales. The original production capacity could hardly meet the market demand. Seizing the development opportunities, General Science took the completion and commissioning of the two projects at home and abroad as an opportunity to continuously increase production capacity, improve quality and enhance the resilience of the supply chain, thus accelerating its march towards a new stage of high-quality development.
Among them, the second-phase project of General Rubber Thailand was officially launched in September last year, with a total investment of 1.976 billion yuan. It is designed with an annual production capacity of 10 million semi-steel radial tires and is expected to bring an additional average annual operating revenue of 2.466 billion yuan and an average annual net profit of 459 million yuan. In the same year, in order to meet the growing demand for semi-steel tires, General Science quickly launched the domestic technological transformation project for the second phase of 6 million semi-steel tires, with a total investment of 880 million yuan. The two projects took 9 months and 6 months respectively from the start to the commissioning, and the commissioning progress exceeded expectations, achieving high-efficiency guarantee and setting a new record in the industry. Once fully operational, the production capacity of semi-steel tires will jump to 16 million, helping the company seize market development opportunities, optimize the industrial structure and further enhance General Science's market competitiveness and profitability.
At the commissioning ceremony, Wang Zhongjiang, General Manager of General Rubber Thailand, and Wang Zhongwei, Deputy General Manager of the Semi-steel Production Center, respectively gave detailed introductions to the second-phase project in Thailand and the domestic second-phase semi-steel tire project. These two major semi-steel tire projects will focus on "high quality and low carbon", concentrate on the design of sustainable materials, and strive to create high-performance new energy green tires of independent brands. Meanwhile, inheriting General Science's years of manufacturing experience and strict manufacturing standards, and on the basis of the successful operation of the "lights-out workshop" for the first-phase semi-steel tires, multiple intelligent manufacturing technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data and artificial intelligence will be integrated to build industry-leading digital and intelligent, green benchmark factories, which are committed to improving the "human efficiency, energy efficiency and product quality efficiency" throughout the whole process and providing customers with high-quality tire products.
Cheng Jinyuan, General Manager of General Science, said that the General Science's second-phase semi-steel tire project achieved full production in just six months, setting a new record in the industry once again. Facing this new starting point, General Science will carry out collaborative innovation from multiple aspects such as scientific and technological innovation, intelligent manufacturing and lean production, continuously improve the factory's operation and management level, strive to build an intelligent benchmark factory in the industry, provide consumers with safer and greener products as well as higher-quality and more considerate services, and build a national tire brand with international influence.
Gu Yahong, General Manager of General Science Overseas Company, said on the site of the Thailand base that the smooth commissioning of the second-phase project in Thailand will accelerate the layout and development of General Science in the global market and bring new growth points for the company. The factory will focus on the three core driving forces of scientific and technological innovation, intelligent manufacturing and lean production, transform the new production capacity into new efficiency, and continuously promote the development of General Science towards a higher level and higher quality.
Winning the new situation and moving forward in pursuit of dreams! The simultaneous commissioning of the two projects at home and abroad on the same day is another important breakthrough achieved by General Science in its "5X Strategy" layout. Standing at a new starting point of the journey, General Science will continue to be guided by innovation, continuously improve its production and manufacturing as well as quality control levels, accelerate the implementation of new technologies and new products, and compete in the global market with higher standards and services, injecting strong impetus into the development of China's national tire industry!
