General Science partners with industry and academia to advance the development of green, efficient off-the-road tires, fostering innovation and sustainable growth in the sector.
On October 30th, General Science officially signed industry-university-research cooperation agreements with Otsuka Material Science (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Shandong Dazhan Nanomaterials Co., Ltd. and Qingdao University, aiming to jointly promote the research and development as well as industrialization of green, environmentally friendly, high-efficiency and safe products in the field of off-the-road (OTR) tires.
This four-party cooperation will focus on the common technical problems of OTR tires. Through technological innovation and the transformation of scientific research achievements, a new model of in-depth integration of "industry-university-research-application" will be constructed. According to the agreement, all parties will integrate their respective advantageous resources and conduct collaborative research based on the principles of joint participation, scientific development, equality, mutual benefit and long-term cooperation.
At the signing ceremony, the person in charge of General Science's OTR project welcomed the arrival of the partners and introduced the advantages of each party in aspects such as technological research and development, innovation achievements and practical experience. He said that this cooperation is an important milestone in the integration of industry, university and research in the OTR field and will effectively promote the quality improvement and green and sustainable development of the tire industry.
Representatives from Otsuka Material Science, Shandong Dazhan Nanomaterials and Qingdao University also gave speeches respectively. They unanimously believed that this powerful alliance would inject new vitality into realizing the common vision, promoting technological innovation and leading the progress of the industry through complementary advantages and resource sharing.
In his concluding speech, the person in charge of General Science reviewed the company's development history in the fields of internationalization, intelligence, greening and OTR. He particularly mentioned that the company launched the XR718 short-distance industrial and mining tire in 2008, which had won wide recognition in the market thanks to its high-performance advantages. He pointed out that with the continuous growth of the market demand for OTR tires, the company launched the "100,000 OTR Tires Project" last year and was making every effort to promote the project's implementation as planned and the full release of production capacity. He hoped that through this cooperation, with the help of the advanced technological strength and material resources of all parties, the OTR project of General Science could achieve new breakthroughs in scientific research and write a new chapter in its development.
This cooperation is another important practice of General Science's long-term adherence to innovative industry-university-research cooperation. In the future, General Science will continue to increase its investment in technological innovation, accelerate the transformation of scientific research achievements, contribute to the technological progress, quality improvement, structural adjustment, transformation and upgrading of China's tire industry, and help China's green tire industry achieve leapfrog development.
